In Mexico, they call Sabana de Invierno, a piece of chicken breast that is flattened until it reaches the thickness of a "sheet"(Sabana in Spanish). A traditional, homemade and delicious dish that we are sure everyone in your home will love.
This recipe is cooked with chicken, although in Mexico it is more likely to be served with beef.
Perfect for any day of the week, it is a very complete main course. In addition, its mild green sauce gives it a lot of flavor and that characteristic touch of Mexican recipes.
(Serves 4 people)
4 flattened chicken breast
240gr of Green Sauce
2/3 cup of shredded cheese. You can use Chihuahua or Manchego Cheese or Mozzarella as a substitute.
Preheat the oven to 350F / 180C
In a hot pan, we fry seasoned flattened chicken breast.
When ready on both sides, we arrange them in a pyrex (separated).
We spread beans on them, add sauce on top, and then cheese. Repeat for each breast.
Baked to gratin the cheese.
Serve coming out of the oven and accompanied with fresh salad, fries, or rice.
Enjoy your meal!
