Pico de Gallo Salsa

This salsa with fresh vegetables is a winner all over the world, not only in Mexico. It is the ideal accompaniment to many dishes.

Two of the most famous dishes in Mexico are tacos and guacamole. Among the elements that accompany and complete them is the so-called pico de gallo. A healthy garnish or accompaniment that will give our dishes that fresh touch. It is still a very colorful, colorful salad with vegetables that have the colors of the Mexican flag, red, white, and green. And with its spicy touch.

Salsa Pico de Gallo in a Molcajete

Try this Pico de Gallo recipe, it's very easy and it will give your meals an unmistakable fresh flavor of Mexican cuisine.


(Serves 2 cups)

  • 1 big red tomatoe

  • 1/3 onion

  • Lime juice (4 limes)

  • 1 red pepper

  • 1/3 cup of Fresh Coriander

  • Salt and Pepper To taste

  • 1 jalapeño


  1. Chop the tomato, onion, and jalapeño chili into squares and place them in a bowl.

  2. Stir well, and add the lemon juice and coriander. Stir again very carefully so that the ingredients maintain their texture.

  3. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  4. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 20 minutes before serving.

This sauce keeps very well refrigerated for about two to three days ... the texture of the ingredients will not be the same, but it will retain its flavor anyway.
